New Baltimore Winterfest in 2019 Continues to Expand and Improve in it's 26th Year!

It is January 2019 and New Baltimore’s Winterfest, put on by New Baltimore’s local Lions Club, is right around the corner! The festivities will kick off on Friday January 25that 5pm and run thru Sunday January 27th.

To kick things off on Friday, January 25th, the big tent will open and the cornhole tournament will commence at 6pm. Entertainment starts at 7pm! There is also a beer stein iron hold contest for those of you looking to show the crowd your determination and will! Admission into the tent on Friday is $5 and food will be provided by New Baltimore’s newest restaurant The Wooden Valve

On Saturday January 26th, start your day off right by partaking in the Boy Scout Troup 211 pancake breakfast. If you ate too much, NO WORRIES, you can enter into the New Baltimore Winterfest’s newest event, the Winterfest Charity Walk/Run. The walk proceeds will go to local charities and starts at 9am. The route will be the same as New Baltimore’s Jingle Bell Run. This should be a great event and I myself plan to take the whole family down for it!

Beginning at 11am on Saturday there will be ice carving, children’s My Adventure Theatre, a scavenger hunt, a visit by Princess Caroline plus balloon artists and face painting! Stick around for round #2 of the cornhole tourney or the chili cookoff that is set to start at 6pm. Music starts at 7pm and after 5pm tent admission is once again $5. Food on Saturday will be provided by Seaburger’s Cheeseburgers.

On Sunday, January 27th, entertainment starts at 11am followed by a veteran’s dedication at the State’s Tallest Flag Pole. At 2pm, join in on the famous Polar Bear Plunge where you can take a quick dip into Lake St Clair for charity! Don’t worry, if you don’t want to join '“the crazies” there is plenty of room to sit back and take in all the creative costumes of this year’s brave and charitable ice dippers! The big tent closes at 6pm on Sunday, so don’t miss out!

New Baltimore’s Winterfest truly stands out amongst other local events as its location in downtown New Baltimore and the backdrop of Lake St Clair make for a one-of-a-kind experience. There truly is something for everybody!
